Birthday party!

I have a birthday post ready or baby girl but I just haven't had time to get it posted. I did want to share these few pics from her bday that are on my phone.

She was such a pretty birthday girl and loved her cake! Like her momma, she's found her sweet tooth!

No More Painting!

Last night marked the end of my painting journey, for a while anyway. No this does not include spray painting. I am certain I will be spray painting something monthly...it's just what I do. Hubby has a pretty standard saying "everything canNOT be painted"...awe he doesn't get it! Anything is possible with a good ole can of paint ;)

So now that the painting is done and we have completed our last DIY project I cannot wait to get up pics!

Our plan is to do one project each year to keep the house updated. With that being said, we are done until next year. I am so glad too. We have not had a night to come home, sit on our sofa, and watch tv since we moved in. Yes 6 weeks!!! I can't wait. But this week from here out will be packed with bday party prep...but that's the fun stuff!

Happy Tuesday y'all!!

P.S. don't judge me for having Ms. Margarita help me thru the painful last night of painting...without her I dunno that it would have been completed!

While Momma Paints

Yesterday I was working like a bunch I little carpenter bees buzzing around...seriously thats what I felt like. I was in the guest bath, which is right beside the baby room, and noticed I didn't hear the babies...for non-mommas out there this is when you get concerned! So I went into their room when I saw nothing but books...everywhere! I mean every...single...book off the shelf and on the floor. That's ok they are making memories right?!

Then there was lil man riding his "yeehaw" and where is sister?! I turn my head and see her, there, in the the closet standing on the shelf. I'm really not sure how she got up there since the little munchkin can barely walk but she did and she was proud. She waved her hands at me and "aaaaa" like "look mom...I did it...I so did it!!!"

Oh my children worry me some times. What if she fell from there...or better yet what if he decided to join her and the shelf came crashing down...what would I do with two hurt babies?! Momma only has two hands!

I secretly loved it though. I had to be all "momma" and get on to her because he was watching and I don't want him to think its ok but secretly I wanted to laugh and praise her and say how fun it looked to be up there on that shelf but had to play the momma role!

Purse Cam

When my old phone was cameraless...cameraless...is that a word...oh well it is now...anyway when my cell phone did nothing but make calls and text when it felt like working halfway, I was stuck carrying around my old tiny point and shoot.  Don't get me wrong, that Sony was an awesome camera, however it is not one that I want to carry around every day with me.  Thank God he sent me to my iPhone...

When I dug out the camera I turned it on to start snapping and realized that there were old pics...that kind of brought back some old bad memories.  I deleted all of them except this one, it was our sink hole.  THANK YOU LORD those days are over!!

I wanted to share the few pics that were on that camera.  So here we go...WARNING totally randomness to these pictures!

Coming home from Nana and Papaw's little man could not wait to get out of the drive way before falling asleep.

The babies have gotten to where they "tackle" each other...it is the sweetest thing.  Little man comes running through the house yelling "tackle, tackle" and he goes for her.  She just laughs it off, rolls in the floor with him, and they continue play fighting for at least a half hour.

 Eating breakfast one morning!

Oh yea...I cut my hair off!!! A lot of it too...but it wasn't enough to donate which was intentions :(  I just could not wait anymore and it had to go.

At the end of January, I donated blood for the first time.  I was so proud of myself and felt so good to do it!

We looked and looked for curtains for the dinning room and I could not find anything that I liked.  We finally found some at Lowes and they were a great price of only $4 a panel...not to shabby!! Unfortunately, there were only 3 and we needed 4 so what's a girl to do...cut 'em and sew of course!

Not really sure why these are out of order but this is the guest bathroom EPIC FAIL at a new paint color.  The color looked like it was going to be a cream color, however it ended up school bus yellow.  No worries, it was repainted in less than two weeks. (before and "progress" pics of every room to come!!)

Hubby helping hang the window treatments in the office.

Laying them out to cut and sew.

Get the hem ready.

Ta-da!!! That's little man's new word.  Window treatments can make or break any room.

Looking good dinning room...however still missing something (we are working on that).

Our Valentines Day 2012!!!

We started the day with the babies treats and heart shaped waffles...I forgot to take pictures of the waffles.

Daddy helping open the chocolates.

Yummmm

They had a Valentines party at the sitter's that day.  They came home with SO much candy and treats.  I didn't get a pictures of my dinner but hubby cooked an amazing steak, twice baked potatoes, and rolls  for dinner...it was sooo yummy!

So after dinner, baby girl found her treats...and her brother's...and dug in while we were not looking...I mean seriously she had it everywhere.

She even managed to get the chocolate cookie from her brother and she chowed down on that thing...and got it everywhere.

She colored on the fridge.

Look at her cheek!!

Finger prints...

Enjoyed her some Valentines Day.

While the family watched and brother said "ewww Momma, eww"

Oh wait there is some crumbs in there

Look at the mess!!!

She even colored on the wall!!

I hope that your Valentines was just as fantastic as ours.  I am FINALLY caught up on all my pictures and posts...man that took about a week!!  But it is Sunday, and unfortunately I have work tomorrow and it is past my bed time.

Hope you all had a great weekend and have a wonderful week!

Another Weekend Of Work

Another weekend of work for us but this shall be the last! I hope anyway. We spent Friday night at one of our new favorite stores, lowes. Then Saturday we had to get our oil changed which is never fun and normally takes a long time so we prepared ourself with plenty of snacks and toys to entertain for a fee hours. However thankfully we were only there about a half hour! Thank you dodge!!!

Afterwards we sat out for the last but, we hope, shopping for the house. Then it was home and to work for us. We got a ton done but today have so much left to do.

I didn't share that boring information with you for no reason. All that was to say I hope you enjoy these cute baby pics.

The first was at lowes, it's our home away from home these days. The second was waiting for dodge. And the third was baby girl showing how excited she is to face forward!!

Happy Sunday y'all!!!!!!

Crafties

I have been working on several different projects...mainly because while one is drying I move to the next.  I have had some success with my trials and have had failures (mainly one).  I am a perfectionist, I cannot STAND for something to fail and it is works I want it to be perfect and have absolutely no flaws...however I am not a professional so more times than not the projects have many flaws.

I saw on pinterest, a while back, a DIY stick wreath.  I wanted to attempt it but did not have a tutorial and did not have what I really needed around the house.  So I worked on the wreath for about 3 weeks and finally got it secure enough to hang.  I did not have anything to glue the sticks to, so I just glued them to each other.  I did not think there would be a problem with it, but turns out there was nothing for the sticks to glue to and they ended up crashing down one day while I was at work and that was the end of their run.  I was super sad to see them on the ground because I really liked the look of the wreath.  Don't worry, project fairy was here, I am working on another as we speak! :)

My stick wreath during its "trial period"
I also busted out the cricut and got two projects checked off my list.  One being the "masterpieces" wall for the babies.
And the other a little "LOVE" for the bedroom.  I am still working on many projects and look forward to sharing them, even in their flaws and imperfections.

What are you working on these days?!?!  I find myself working on something every single day since we moved in.  I know there will always be something to do, that's why there are never "before" and "after" pictures of your home right, there are always "progress" pictures.  But I do look forward to the day that the big stuff is done for a while where I can sit and enjoy the house...that will be in about 3 days folks.  Hubby and I have this weekend PACKED in operation "tie up the final projects" which is underway as we speak.

Do you hear that, it is peace and relaxation in my future!  :)
