One of the blogs I read does a Friday Five each week. I look forward to her instagram pics, favorite new app, and what awesome deals she scored that week. I also find myself wanting to blog more but running out of things to post about, yes I'm kinda boring. So I decided to start my very own Friday Five, here we go folks!
Excuse the pics following the post, I'm blogging from my phone again, it's just so much more convenient. I have hopes that soon they will come out with an update so you can move the pictures to the post and arrange them how you want. Back to my five...
One: new Gimp scripts. I have been using Gimp for about a year now and I love it. Since we moved into our house I haven't really had time to do anything and my skills in Gimp have declined drastically. However last weekend we took family pictures out on the farm, thanks to JudyDphotography.com, and it really inspired me to start using Gimp scripts again and stop my straight out of the camera picture posting. I love editing pictures, playing with effects and pretending to be a photographer. I got on the Internet and looked around and what do you know, there are many new scripts. So I plan on downloading about six new ones tonight and work on getting back into that groove. Warning: that means there will most likely be MANY picture packed posts coming along down the pipes!
Two: looks like my lil man got moved to number two, I had this one saved for last because the best is ALWAYS last. But this blogger app has a mind of it's own so looks like we shall talk about him now. So this time TWO years ago I was sitting at home on bed rest begging God to pllllleeeeaaaasseeee let me have this baby. Little did I know he would be born tomorrow. Hubby came home from work around 4:30 grabbed me and we went walking, for over an hour, and to the hospital we went. It worked, our lil man was born the next day. This handsome fella made my top five this week because we will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow and I'm super excited. It makes me so happy to hear him say "I'm two" awe being a mother is the best job EVER!
Three: my coke zero and work addiction. I have NEVER been a soda drinker but I have needed it lately just to get through my day at the office. I'm not really sure why but it's like I can here it calling my name. Oh and if it can't get worse the cafe has a fountain and everyone knows soda out of the fountain is way better than soda out of a can or bottle so that made it double addicting.
Four: those are gerber daisies and I love them. Hubby and I are working on our yard making it all beautiful and springy. Last night I stopped by lowes and got a heck of a deal I tell ya on mulch (it was only $1 a bag, normally like $3) so I got everything on our list, not knowing about the mulch sale, and rang up $100 below my budget...SCORE!!! So after I got home laid out our plants, talked to the hubs, I got the ok to go back to lowes and get more flowers...score again! I love gerber daisies and we had the in our very first yard and haven't had them since so I picked some up yesterday but put them back trying to stay in budget. But now that I am going back to the store...well you know...hello gerber daisies momma is gonna take you home! And I'm so excited!
Finally five: so I have a confession, besides my slight addiction to coke zero these days, shoes always, and old Friends episodes...I have a MAJOR iPhone addiction. I cannot help it, I love this thing like fat kid loves cake. No offense to anyone reading this blog, I am a fat kid myself and do enjoy me some cake! Seriously though everyone told me to make the move and get the iPhone but I was worried I wouldn't know how to use it, or I would break it. You see I'm really clumsy and I've heard it is glass so I was terrified the thing would be shattered in a week. *fingers crossed* no drops yet. But I'm so glad I got it. I love it so much. I hardly ever use my laptop anymore and I break out my iPad when I'm home and want a bigger screen but when I'm out and about this baby is at my finger tips, has awesome apps, bright screen and is so fast. I have game I play with friends and family, pic apps, and I really could just go on and on but I won't bore you. I just love it.
So there ya go, my first ever Friday Five. It's kinda like my version of ESPNs too plays! I'm digging it. Hope y'all have an awesome Friday and an even better weekend!

Spring is here!
Spring is my favorite season. I love all the colors of the flowers, the warm weather, the birds, the green grass...I could go on and on. I love working in my yard...that sounds so weird to say since I haven't had one in so long. But I've always enjoyed getting a little dirt under my nails. I do mean little, I'm not like my parents who live outside from February thru November. I'm so serious they live to work in their yard. I just want my house to have curb appeal.
I started my curb appeal last night by updating my front door wreath with some spring fabric flowers.
I wasn't overly thrilled with the results but its an improvement and once I finish the remainder of the front yard the wreath should look just right.
Thank God for small Friday right?! I'm so ready for this weekend. My lil manis having his 2 year birthday party, I get to spend time with family and friends, and my momma comes home! Come on Friday at 4:30!!
P.S.
I cant take credit for the pretty flowers those are in my mother in law yard...but are they not absolutely beautiful?

Nana birthday!
We went to nanas for her birthday this weekend. We got to play, hang out with family and swim. I was looking forward to swimming but the babies didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped they would.
We had some yummy pulled pork, and some of the best cake ever! The babies always enjoy time in the woods and especially when they get to spend most of the time outside and thankfully this weekend was pretty and we spent the majority of it outside.
I also got some cool pics of the barn on my phone. Little man also got to learn how to "drive" the mule. He thought that was so awesome.
Another great weekend down. And tomorrow starts count down for best weekend :)

Fabric earrings
I have seen these on pinterest and several blogs I read and I finally decided I wanted me a pair. I looked on Etsy, not because I was going to buy a pair but because that's what I do. I like to browse etsy before I start any project to "justify" crafting to save money. Don't judge me, it's a game I play with myself. So I saw these earrings in etsy selling anywhere between $10-$18 a PAIR!
So let's get to it. All u need is scrap fabric, button making kit, earring studs, wire cutters and hot glue gun. That's it!
Start by cutting the backs off the buttons, I found it easier to cut them with wire cutters. Then follow the instructions on making the buttons.
Last step, use the hot glue gun to attach the studs. And you are done!! Told ya it was easy!!!
And I'm loving the results!

Bench makeover
We worked on my mil living room this weekend and it look so amazing. But I have to say my favorite part of the entire project is this before and after.
She has had this bench, I believe, since she was in high school. She has recovered it once. It was due for a makeover.
We wanted to make this a big surprise in her room so we kept telling we we were gonna work on the bench but she was very much against it, in fear that we wouldn't have enough time...but we did.
First we took it apart. Then began painting. It was brown before so it took about 3 coats to get it good and covered. Then it was time to remove the old fabric. That actually was the hardest part. I think I removed near 100 staples. See when she recovered it she didn't remove the original fabric, so I had two layers to go. It was soooo frustrating! But we made it through. Next we laid out the new fabric and began stapling it on. After the paint was dry we reassembled it and TA-DA!
I LOVE the bench now and it pops so good against her newly battened walls!!
Sorry about the before pic I was bad and forgot to take before pics.

HGTV my MIL!
When I started dating my hubby ten years ago, golly TEN YEARS. That is crazy!! Anyway, when I started dating him, the first time I walked in his parents' home it was a construction zone. They were adding on their living room/family room. Since then, TEN YEARS ago, it has not been touched...until now.
Me and my favorite SIL(s)...I call them that though they are not 'legally' my SIL yet, have been planning for a while to HGTV her room...with or WITHOUT her.
She got on board with the plan and wanted to add the wood work like we did in our dinning room. So this weekend we got busy...painted, re-decorated, added wood work, and recovered her bench. Check out the pics!!! I'm so excited and so proud of how it turned out!
This bench is by far my favorite part...I will post before pics of it tomorrow in my Instagram photo a day challenged of "before/after".

He is a big boy now!
This week both of our babies have been so sick. Hubby stayed home Monday, I stayed home Tuesday and it took both of us yesterday. Two sick babies want nothing but to be held and this mommas lap ain't big enough for two so we took turns rotating between babies.
While they napped hubby and I got the idea to start emptying out the office and turning it into little man big boy room. We've played around with this idea for a few weeks but when they started the new day care it became very obvious how important their individualism is and we decided to make the move now. Everyone, including us, thought this would be a huge adjustment but last night actually went really well.
When they woke from their nap we began explaining how exciting it was gonna be to have their own room. He immediately took on and started packing up his toys and took them to his new room. I was so proud of how big he was being about it.
So last night marked his first night in his own room. And they both did great!
I have a few pictures of the rooms, in progress, but you will have to excuse the toys out and about my kids were "making memories" have you ever heard that saying?! It's def my new thing, don't worry about a clean house because my children are always making memories! :)
I'm so excited because now I can make his room TOTALLY boy and make her room 110% pinkalicious!
I almost forgot, part of our "talking him into it" was we showed him that the coolest part of his own room was that he has a tv and can play "cho cho" (chuggington) and "e-house" (Mickey mouse) any time he wants. He was sooo excited about this!

A New Look!
I don't think I have updated my blog look in about a year...it was time for a fresh face!! The babies, yes BOTH of them, are sick so while they napped I had some free time. I thought why not give the blog a quick update. I didn't do anything too fancy, because...well let's face it, I aint fancy! :)
But new pattern, although I picked the same colors...oh well...and updated the baby's picture(s). That's about all I have the energy to mess with tonight...and it's only 7:36! Haha!!
Alright, I'm headed over to my other internet love- PINTEREST! :)
Night yall!

Weekend Wrap Up
This weekend was so relaxing, family an friends packed, and just plain fun. I'm posting this from my phone because thats where all my pics are so I am sorry if the pics are out of order a little bit.
Friday we went to the big town of qtown and spend the night and yesterday with the family. We played in the yard and played with papas and nanas new puppy! So stinking cute really wanted to take one home with us. But little man wasn't a fan. Maybe we will try again in a few years.
Today we went to Red Hills and watched some horses. I wasn't sure at first how the babies would do, but they really enjoyed it. We got to play in a bouncy house, sand box, watch horses jump, and play with some marine life. Plus we got to do it all with two of our friends which made it even better! Little man was so cute standing up clapping at the horses when they jumped and watching the running towards us to the jumps. Baby girl didn't really care about the horses, bouncy house, or marine life...but she did enjoy the food and sand box! :)
That's another weekend gone and on to another fun filled week at work ahead!! Hope yalls was great!
I almost forgot that we painted baby girls toe nails for the first time this weekend too! She wasn't a fan of sitting still the whole time, but they r super cute and pink!
