Exciting Weekend!! *HOUSE UPDATE YALL*

The upcoming days, weeks, and weekends are going to be so exciting for us as we prepare to move in our new home and purchase all the fun stuff we need.  I have to admit while it is extremely exciting it is also all very overwhelming for me.  I am not very good at picturing things, and I am not creative to be able to put rooms together...especially with us not living there.  We are trying really hard to get as much done as we can before we actually move in.  We are saying that we are going to give ourselves a week after we close to get things ready before moving in...I don't know if that will actually happen or not because I know once those keys are in my hands I'm going to want to move in THAT DAY!  But I do want to wait for the paint fumes to settle before bringing the babies in...so we will move in the next day ;)

We have been pinning tons of ideas (or wait...hubby doesn't "do" pinterest...just kidding...he doesn't even know what that site is...correction I HAVE BEEN PINNING *wink wink*) and we have been window shopping the stores for WEEKS MONTHS!  So the good thing from all that frustration and disappointment is we know what we do not want!! In all seriousness we did find several things we like and we knew what we would eventually go back and buy.  However we were not completely sold on a sofa and night stands.  One place had a sofa that was okay, but it was lumpy across the middle so you had to sit on it, no laying down, but it did recline so we thought well we could make it work.  It was dark, which was a must with the babies for us.  But it just wasn't perfect so we kept putting off buying it and said that when we got about two weeks out we would go looking again and if we still didn't fall in love with anything then we would buy it.  The bed we picked out had night stands in the suite it came in...however...they were "U-G-L-Y, yea yea you ugly"...not to mention the two of them were priced at $700...ummm NO!  So we put those off as well.

Getting to my exciting weekend and house update: we celebrated hubby's *21st* birthday ;) with some good friends Friday night and Nana and Papaw took the babies home to the farm so we could have some time to get things purchased for the new home.  Before dinner we had a little time to kill so we went to the furniture store to order our furniture and guess what...they just got a new shipment of brand spanking new living room furniture!!! Thank you God!!!  So we started looking at the newbies on the market and whada-ya-know....there she sat exactly what we were looking for in a sofa.  And priced decently, not to mention the awesome percentage off that the store is currently offering...cha-ching!  But still no luck on the night stands :( but that is minor in my opinion.  So furniture is ordered and on its way...so to dinner we went.

This week was crazy for us, both hubby and I had the stomach flu, the babies started getting sick, then my poor momma couldn't escape the path of the flu bug and she got it.  Needless to say I was out of work about a day and half, and it was already a short week, work was crazy busy for me too.  Then we were working our boootays off trying to get everything to the bank so we can *fingers crossed* close early.  Hubby's bday was Thursday, so we were ready to celebrate his birthday, new house, new year, and many exciting memories to be made with our friends at El Jaliscos.  (I have NO idea if I spelled that right) But we did Friday night, the boys ordered their beer and us ladies ordered our margaritas.  I love me a good margarita and the last one I ordered was not good at all so I was looking forward to a real one.  Well lemme tell you a lil something, it was REAL alright!  The thing came in a glass that I could barely lift, and I think it was straight liquor with some green coloring.  It was STRONG, and for a light weight like me that only has one every six months, this was the beginning of an interesting night to say the least.  The food was good, the company was great (although we think we embarrassed the birthday boy a little bit :/ ) and I cannot wait to return for another good margarita...next time though Tam lets split one!

After dinner we decided the night was young and there was plenty to buy for the new house...so to Best Buy we went.  Now I think this was part of hubby's plan: get wife to El Jalisco's, tell her to order a margarita, wait til her arms and legs get heavy, take her to Best Buy, and show her the biggest TV in the store and tell her it is the best deal.  Which is exactly what happened!  I personally could care less what TV we got, I thought the one we had was big enough, clearly I was wrong.  I know that hubby and I have been through A LOT these past two years, honestly more than anyone will ever know, so if all he asked for out of this deal was a new TV...who cares let him get it!  I mean lets be honest, he gets a TV and I get an ENTIRE house to decorate...that my friends is a win win deal there!  So it was settled...a TV we got.  Do you think it is big enough?
Hubby is excited and I am excited for him.  He cannot wait to watch the super bowl on that beast, anywhere looking for a place to watch the game?! We are more than happy to have ya join us :)

So after Best Buy it was my turn, Bed Bath and Beyond here we come!!! We got the fun stuff, ya know, rugs and bedding...okay I think it is the fun stuff!! After all that shopping we were pooped so we headed home, not to mentioned the truck was packed and we needed to unload so we could reload in the morning!

When we got home this is what I saw:

Hubby had spent the day home alone, packing!
STUFF IS EVERYWHERE!  It is driving me crazy, I want things organized and neat...this is NOT!  I keep telling myself only two weeks.

Saturday was jammed packed.  We went to Lowes and got the vanity, rugs, fan, and door knobs.  Then I had to book it to my THIRTY-ONE SPRING PREMIER!!!  YAY

Ok I have to say I am so totally in love with everything in the new catalog and so far only have three items to share, but there are so many amazing new prints and styles I'm just giddy thinking about them.  This is for you Toni! :)

This is a new storage bin in our new Lotsa Dots pattern...I LOVE dots right now.  Who doesnt?!  And I hope to collect many things in this print.
This is the new Thermal Tote, I have been using it as my lunch box and I'm in love because the strapes can go over my shoulder!!!
Last is this wallet style purse thingy :) you can use it so many different ways and it has three card slots and hold your SMART PHONE...how perfect is that!?  I just love it all and cannot wait for my spring parties to show off the rest of the new products and all the changes Thirty-One made this year on the products to make them even more durable.  My absolute most favorite pattern I do not have a product in yet but I will give you a tip...it is gray and yellow!!!! I am working as we speak on ordering a product in that print because it totally melted my heart yesterday at the premier!!

After my premier I met hubby and the babies out at the farm for a little celebrating his bday with the fam and it was so nice and relaxing...although the babies are still a little under the weather...we had a great time!

So here we are...Sunday...this is my relaxing day every weekend...so off I am to get the clothes done and some more packing out of the way.

Oh...wait...I almost forgot the house update: we may be able to CLOSE EARLY!!  Please, please, please think about us in your prayers that things will continue to run smoothly and we can get closed earlier than expected.  I really want to be in the house and ready for company for baby girl's first bday!!

I hope yall had a great week and have a good week!!!

FINALLY Christmas Phump!

Our family is lucky enough to have several Christmases.  We started Christmasing on Christmas Eve and finished this past weekend.  We traveled from Q-town to GA to the river.  We had a wonderful holiday season and I am so excited to recap some memories captured this Christmas.

This year was fun because lil man was old enough to really get into opening gifts and playing with what he got, and getting excited.  As Christmas got closer he was slowly starting to learn who Santa was, but I think it will take another year or so before he really knows and understands Santa.  He did know that Bo Bo, our elf, talks to Santa and will tell him when he is being bad.  **SN: he was bad one day at the sitter's and lil man came home went straight to Bo Bo and talked (I could not understand what he was telling that elf) to Bo Bo like he was stating his side of the story, SO CUTE!

Surprisingly, baby girl really got into Christmas too.  She got so excited to open gifts and then wanted to play with them when she got them out of the package.  Her favorite gift, baby dolls!  YAY, she's gonna be a girly girl!!!

I'm sure all families go through the hassell and headaches of trying to coordinate Christmas time around every one's schedule, but it really upsets me how every year hubby and I get so tired from going and rush through everywhere we go.  I really hope in the coming years we will be able to work something out where we can relax and enjoy time with family not just rush somewhere, open gifts, eat and leave.  I was going through my pics editing them today and realized there are so many family members I didn't get pics of, so many shots I missed, and it seems like Christmas was gone before I knew it.  I didn't get to see my parents open their gifts, which really upset me, but I know once you get married and have babies there are sacrifices that you have to make and there is just not a way for hubby and I to be in all places at once...oh but don't we wish there was!

So we started our Christmasing by doing my Christmas with my mom, dad, and Grandma Sandra on Christmas Eve before heading to hubby's grandmother's.  It was fun watching the babies open their first gifts of the holiday season and seeing their faces when they discovered what was inside the packages.

A quick pre-opening pic, mom and I tried to pose lil man by holding a gift...he wanted to eat it!! Baby girl just was so excited, it is like she knew it was Christmas Eve and Santa was coming that night.  LOL!
This is the only family picture we got...I'm so upset because I was snapping away with my camera, like I always do, and not looking at the pictures I was taking.  I went to look at the pictures on Christmas morning and realized ALL of my pictures where there was any type of movement were blurry...needless to say I was super bummed!  Thankfully there were a handful that came out well enough I could edit and lessen the blur...but the majority of my pics were goners! :(

Baby girl getting ready for some Christmas fun
Daddy watching to babies opening their big gift from Grandma Sandra.  I love the look on Daddy's face...so happy to watch them.
After he opens his gift what does he do with it!?  Turn it into a mountain, that's what!
Baby girl watching her brother and soaking in every single thing he does.
Lil man helping Pepa assemble the buggy he got.  This year we were living with my parents still during Christmas and my Mema and Pepa moved in the week of Christmas.  It was so exciting to have some time with them before they head out again on their camping hostess they do.  I enjoyed watching my babies bond with their great grandparents and I know they enjoyed the babies too.
My dad showing off his January 9 (I think that's the day :/) cup...AKA his new Alabama cup.
 Grandma Sandra opening her gift.
Lil man playing with his train that Gammy and Pawpaw got him.  He loves his trains :)
Baby girl learning how to open her presents...she was so funny because when she finally realized what she had.
See that grin!!  HAHA
Then her and lil man took it to Daddy to get help opening it.
He got a Dirt Devil, well actually baby girl got it but he played with it most.
Hubby opening his presents, don't tell him I told you but he has just as much enjoyment opening his gifts that the babies do! ;)

After we left my parents, we went to Nanny's and saw hubby's momma's family.  It was fun to be there for Christmas Eve because normally we do not get a chance to make it because that is when my mom's family does Christmas and we normally schedule a time to see Nanny and go to church with her, wish secretly I missed that this year.  But I know that hubby was happy to be at his Nanny's for Christmas Eve this year. Christmas morning we did Christmas with hubby's parents, brothers, and their better halves (you girl's like that don't ya!? ;) ) so we just stayed the night there to keep from traveling as much. Thankfully Bo Bo is a good communicator and told Santa where we would be on Christmas Eve so he could bring the babies their gifts.  HOPEFULLY, Santa will not have to track us down anymore, because we are getting a house!!!!!!! So I hope to spend every Christmas Eve from here out in our home...oh that sounds so amazing our home :)

 LOOK Santa came!
Hubby and I were talking about what the babies got from Santa, and we joked that lil man would run right past his blue boy stuff and go straight for baby girl's baby...so what did he do!?  Just that, except he got the baby doll and took it to baby girl and said "here tissy"....SOOOO sweet yall!  Then he went back to see what he got and play.
But went back to baby girl for a Christmas morning kiss :) we are raising him right yall!
 Loving his chair
Loving hers...excuse her modest pic here with her leg hanging out her britches...you know we aint fancy people!
 Playing with their stocking stuffers
He loved his golf club :)
That smile right there...melts my heart!  Aint nothing better than the man you love holding your baby and smiling like this...pictures are worth a billion bucks but there is not enough money in the world to pay for the warmth my family brings me. :)
Aint that so sweet?!  What a great Uncle!!
I'm telling ya, we have a Christmas LOVER on our hands here, and wouldn't trade that for anything.  It is our favorite holiday so I am so happy she enjoyed it as well.
 Playing with their toys
The family...I'm super sad we didn't get one of these with my family...but none of us thought of it, we were rushed, and well...it just didn't happen I guess.  But this turned out great and I'm glad...maybe next year there will be another baby in the pic?!!? And NO not from us :) anyone else?! ;)
After hubby's parents Christmas morning we headed to GA to Christmas with my mom's family.
Babies in front of all the presents.
My uncle has a horse, and lil man has a love for animals...so once he spotted the horse, it was on like donkey Kong.  Unfortunately, on the way to GA I was scrolling through my camera and realized how TERRIBLE my Christmas pics came out, got super bummed, and didn't feel like taking many at my uncle's...like I was putting the camera on time out or something, who ended up getting hurt more in the end!? ME, because now I don't have many pics! Oh well, I gotta work on hubby for a new camera *hint hint* :)
Lil man petting the horse...he was so excited and so proud to be there.
Baby girl wasn't too sure if that something she was interested in...haha
My cousin Chason got to open the first present, and he got TWO cowboy hats!!
 Gammy holding lil man
 Then holding baby girl
What was her favorite toy?  The box! Aint that typical!?

Ok, this wasn't Christmasy but this past week while we were home I went in their room to check on them napping and this is what I saw.  Baby girl FULL SPREAD EAGLE, talk about pooped!

We did go to the river for New Years, which is when we always do Christmas with my dad's family.  Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, again my have been trying to punish it, so I didn't get any pics...but my mom had her camera and I hope to steal some pics from her later...if I can I will post a river Christmas post separate!

I have so many awesome memories from this Christmas and I look forward to making so many amazing memories this year.  I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Christmas 2011

So my thought was "just do one post about all our Christmases"...because I have/will have soooo many pics I will sit down and edit them and make a collage of my favs and do a quick recap of our holidays, and because we Christmas it straight through the new year down at the river. Well two things changed that: one being that my camera blurred almost everyone of my Christmas pics :( SUPER SAD about that and the other being that i forgot my camera when we left for the river. So I sit here while it's peace and quiet at the river and upset about little to no Christmas pics from this year. But I do have amazing memories with my family and I was thankfully able to salvage some pics by editing them, and most of them I am still working on.

But until I get those finished I thought I would share two of my favs. I hope you had a very merry Christmas and I hope to get all my pics edited and a full recap on Monday :)

Merry Christmas y'all!

It's 5:00 am and im the only one awake...except for hubby because he couldn't sleep because I couldnt sleep.

But look...the jolly old man came last night! And Santa brought lots to lil man and baby girl!

We sent last night with hubby family after Christmas at his gmas. So that's were Santa came. ***please note no offense to anyone*** me and hubby CANNOT WAIT for next year to have our Christmas with our family at our home!!!!!!!! That my friends is excitement whole heartedly and in no way is intended to be rude or ungrateful.

So far we have opened presents at 2 places and have two to go and it has been so much fun because lil man is finally old enough to get the owning art and baby girl just thinks it's so awesome that we allow her to tear something up. The disappointment is they both get so excited about what they got they play with it and don't care to open anymore lol!

So I just wanted to pop in and say Merry Christmas and show you my babies were on the nice list and got some pretty awesome stuff...now will they hurry up and wake up already I wanna open presents!
