That’s all.

I just love taking pictures and these are a few that I took while at my parents’ place.

IMG_5335 copy

My mom took some too.

We both love taking pictures…it could be considered an addiction! Winking smile

IMG_5354 copy

Their neighborhood really is  a beautiful place.

IMG_5355 copy

Little man likes looking for the water.

IMG_5361 copy

I love the big trees, they make a really pretty background.

I have a challenge for you…

IMG_5368 copy

Try to get two toddlers and their momma to look at one place and smile long enough to take a picture.

IMG_5371 copy

I told them to hold hands and walk the other way.  So he went one way, she went the other and they tried to remain holding hands…it was hilarious to watch.

IMG_5372 copy

He found a large stick…

IMG_5373 copy

And shared it with his sister…such a sweetheart.

IMG_5374 copy

She LOVES picking up sticks and pinecones.

IMG_5385 copy

She wasn’t wanting to leave, she loved playing in the dirt and with sticks.

IMG_5398

Beautiful trees

IMG_5399 copy

I snapped a few pictures around their yard too…I can find SO many things to photograph in my parent’s yard.

IMG_5413

The past two weeks have been so busy.

IMG_5414

I have been out of town for work.

IMG_5417 copy

Had two babies and a hubby that was sick.

IMG_5418 copy

Then I started my new workout plan (AKA get yo butt in gear chick)…so I have been very lazy in the blogging world, that’s ok right!?!  I say so, you know I am never gone for too long. Smile

P.S.

Happy almost HUMP day!!!

Sunday Fun Day at Gammy and Pawpaw’s

IMG_5293 copy

Sunday we headed to my parents to spend some time in the sun and playing with the kiddos.  The babies LOVE going places…anywhere they don’t care to stay at home very well.  When we go to my parents the babies always enjoy playing outside, playing in the water, and this trip baby girl discovered the trampoline!

IMG_5294 copy

Her brother put the sprinkler on it when we first went outside to cool it off.

IMG_5295

That made it even more fun for her!

IMG_5297

The girl jumped and jumped and jumped…until she fell off.  She took one heck of a fall too.  Her feet went over her head and her arm got stuck in the openings.  Thankfully this was a kids trampoline and the springs were actually bungee cords so she had small burns on her little arms but not cuts or pinches from springs.

IMG_5306

We took a break from the heat and went inside.  While we went inside baby girl started playing with her little doll house.  This doll house is special because it was my sister’s and she loved it so very much and now baby girl is expressing that she is becoming interested in it as well and I hope that she loves it just as much as my sister did.

IMG_5316

Then we went back outside and played some more…what’s the saying…work hard, play harder!!  We definitely do that!

IMG_5317

Little man is such the gentleman, helping baby girl get her a sip of some water.

IMG_5322 copy

Cheesing it up.

IMG_5323 copy

This time was not the first that they played with their pool/slide.  But little man did find the slide and learned how to go down the slide.  He LOVED IT!

IMG_5324 copy

Baby girl wasn’t the biggest fan because at the end of the slide is water, that she may or may not end up going under.  She just hasn’t gotten used to that yet.  One day, soon enough she will have no worries with the water.  Don’t get me wrong, she is in NO WAY scared of the water, nor does she fear it.  In fact when we are around pools she has been known to just walk right into the water…regardless if you are ready or not for her…and she will come up laughing while your heart is beating out of your chest!

IMG_5339 copy

We ALWAYS, always since Mema and Pepa have left the golf cart, go on a golf cart ride, or two or three, before we leave Gammy and Pawpaw’s.  This time was no different!

Ok, it was slightly different.  This time was different because baby girl was BORED…she is CLEARLY not aware of the enjoyment any type of ATV can bring.  So instead of enjoying the ride or watching the trees…she played peekaboo!

IMG_5341 copy

Where is baby girl….

IMG_5342 copy

There she is!

IMG_5343 copy

Oh, where is baby girl?!

IMG_5344 copy

And there she is…you can see how this golf cart ride went!

On our way back to the house, little man expressed his disagreement with me about it being time to go.

IMG_5403 copy

As always it was a blast and we look forward to the next visit!

After we left my parent’s house we went to hubby’s aunt and uncle’s house and relaxed in their pool.  It was a great Sunday and by the time this post finally gets to my blog it more than likely will be another Sunday.  But that is what happens with you are a full time momma, wife, and employee…just flat run out of time in the day!

Speaking of being busy, I am currently out of town for work and using this alone time in my hotel room to catch up on the blog, and picture editing.  In doing that I have decided that I want to try to start recording “Kids say”.  Hubby and I have always thought it was so sweet, special, and hilarious what children say.  Our babies are starting to really converse with us and I want to remember some of those funny comments they make.  That being said I have decided to document them on the blog, I just want to apologize in advance for any comments that my babies may say that someone may not appreciate…after all they are kids and they are learning what they can and cannot get away with.  I am excited about sharing this with our family and friends but most importantly I’m excited about having a place to document it so I can go back and read it some day…so stay tuned for those coming up soon!

Just Because…

These are just a few pictures from last week.  Our week last week was rough.  The babies both were sick and then hubby got sick…thankfully I did not get it. *knock on wood*

IMG_5273 copy

Baby girl was on a soft food diet because she had strep so we enjoyed our share of popsicles last week.

IMG_5285

Little man was on the same diet, from the same illness…so he enjoyed many popsicles as well.  He also helped his daddy clean up the garage.

IMG_5284

All of a sudden she decided she wanted to start wearing hand bands, not a problem with me but I thought it funny how random.

IMG_5277 copy

I got two new shelves!! Hubby put them up for me during one of his afternoon breaks from the sofa where he was sickly too.

IMG_5276 copy

It was a rough week but we are all better and healthy and back to normal this week!!

Sunday Funday

Sunday Funday at our house this past weekend wasn’t so fun. I say that mostly jokingly. It was fun because I got to spend the day with my babies, which is always a blessing. Although, I would have preferred them to be in a little bit better mood…terrible twos really are terrible and a sick little girl doesn’t help the cause either. I find it partly amusing and partly frustrating to see how little man can transition from this sweet, lovey, cuddly, caring boy into a grumpy, mad, crying, unable to satisfy toddler in a matter of like five seconds. It’s like a switch, although I can’t switch it off as fast as he can switch it on. I’ve heard that two is nothing compared to three and then I should definitely fear the fours, which I do! To add to his two year old mood swings, he has been getting up early (like 6:00) every morning for the past week. I had GREAT infants, that have always slept through the night til at least 7:30 so I know there are some parents out there that will probably hate me for complaining about this but I am not used to 6AM on Saturday and Sunday. I’m not sure what’s going on there. He’s in his big boy bed, in fact I was going to post about it but there isn’t much to say because he has been doing SO amazing…besides getting up with the chickens! So if anyone has any suggestions, I’m open for opinions!

IMG_5220 copy

When he got out of the bed Saturday and Sunday, he went and woke baby girl. She has been running a low grade temp and runny nose…I try to let her sleep but he didn’t agree. That started out Sunday with a bang. He was ill and tired by 8:30 and she was grumpy and sick and tired. I decided early on that it would be an outside day. My kids do NOT dig being inside. In fact I have wondered why we don’t just build them a tree house. I would go check on them several times a day, and take the fluids and food. I would let them inside to bath and use the bathroom. They would be the happiest babies EVER!

Letting them play outside benefits me too because usually I always have a project of some sort to work on so I sand or paint while they play. I always have homemade popsicles in the freezer ready to go and they look forward to them about half way through our outside time.

This past Sunday was no different.

IMG_5256

I got better pictures of baby girl with her popsicle than little man.

IMG_5266

She wasn’t going to move until she was done eating.

SavPop

He on the other hand was everywhere.

brody

He even tried various ways of “eating” his popsicle.

IMG_5262

I even made me a little treat, frozen grapes…I highly recommend!

IMG_5270

Bust out the grapes and you can get these two to sit still for about five minutes.

All in all it was a perfect Sunday, I would say that this is the life of a young family and I love it. I get frustrated, I complain, I feel like a failure at times, but in the end (when they go to bed) I sit down and reflect on my chaos and think I’m so darn blessed! I may have had my hands full today and I may have had a toy shoved up my tail pipe (true story see pic below) but it’s all good!

photo

Incase you are curious, this is how much “excitement” we had this past Sunday.

I hope you had a great Sunday…here’s to another week!
