Relaxing Sunday

So you are going to have to bare with me, im being lazy and posting from the bed on my phone.  First I want to say thank you to everyone for the positive words abiut my bye bye fb choice.  My first fee pics here are from last weekend.  The first is from my fourtune cookie.  Those who dont know what we are going through I will sum it up for you- ALOT! But this cookie was a light for me to put at the end of my tunnel.

We went walking one night this week and baby girl had to sit up. Shes so funny because she will not lay back for anything, scared of falling asleep i guess.

The wagon ones are from today just too cute not to share.

And the last one, yes thats babygirl pulling up!!!! Ahhhh what am I going to do with TWO walking!?!?! She did take one step to this leap frog table but fell as soon as she put weight in that foot.

These pics are from my phone but i took several good ones yesterday, hope to get them edited and posted soon. But may not be this week.  Why!? You ask...because i have FIVE parties to close this week! Yay!!! Ive been SOOO blessed by ThirtyOne. I hope yall have a great beginning to your week!!

Bye Bye Facebook

Facebook and I have been really good friends for six years now and this has been a very difficult choice for me to make.  I am actually really nervous that I may regret this in a few days, but I hope not.  I first want to say I love each and every one of my friends and family I have found, kept up with, and communicate with on fb...and I really hope that deleting my fb doesn't end that communication.  :/

I drive down the road and see mommas texting on their cell phone with their babies in the back looking out the window.  I walked in walmart the other day and a woman was talking on her phone with her babies following behind her like little ducklings.  I was at the doctor's office and saw a woman texting on her phone while her son sat beside her trying to get her attention and her not paying any attention to him.  It is EVERYwhere...people are so addicted to their cell phones it sickens me.

In the last few weeks, I have found myself waking up and checking my cell phone...getting in the car and checking it again...sitting at work and checking my phone...sitting at a red light (no I don't text and drive) checking my phone...my babies playing in the floor and I'm on my phone...I'm tired of it, I've had enough.  What happened to true family time?  What happened to REAL friends (you know like the ones you watch football games with, your children play with, you go to the mall with, meet for lunch, the friends you actually CALL just to chat), not just people that have met you once or twice, or know you through Bob your neighbor who knows Judy the bag lady at Publix?  What happened to our free time being spent playing baseball with our son in the yard, or painting your daughter's toe nails?  What happened to checking your email when you get home and have a chance to log on to the computer?

I realized that I, like all those other cell phone addicts, am missing SO much.  Mainly with my children growing up.  They are going to be grown and gone one day and I want to be able to say, I spent every second I could with them and not attached to technology.

I know this post is mainly directed to my cell phone but fb is just as much to blame.  And since I cannot break my cell phone contract, I will take actions somewhere else...fb.

I also find it scary how much information is on fb and I know that my family and friends will keep up with me regardless if I'm a facebookie or not.  I'm also pretty excited that this will give me more of a chance to keep my blog updated and the blog is awesome because I can actually go back and read about events in my life (like I often do) whenever I want.

I really hope this doesn't make anyone mad, it is a personal choice of my own and I am very excited about it and how different it will be.  I love you all and hope you will continue to follow me on blogger!!!! :)

She Found the Tube

Finishing up the pics...but first, he helped momma cook last Monday and don't ya just love his apron!? I need to find him a boy one...but he's still handsome! :)

Brody has a tube that attaches to a tent that he loves (and has since the first day he got it) to death! Well Sav finally found the tube and figured out how to crawl into it.

She was so proud of herself to do it just like big brother.

She tried to sit up in the tube and got wedged in there a little bit...she didn't really care for that too much!

Once she was in there, she couldn't figure out how to get out. So I laid down with my camera and she crawled to it.

She had the best time in that tube!

"I DID IT MOMMA"! She got the camera and was so proud...I love watching her play! :)

A Little Pic Catch Up

I have been meaning to get these pics up, but they have taken longer than I thought they would. I can't remember exactly when they all were taken, but they have been over the past 2-3 weeks. Hope you enjoy...yes they are all of our babies, they do make the prettiest pics ;)

For his first birthday, he got a 4 wheeler and he LOVES that thing. He rides it all over the yard, yelling "bye, bye" and "bye ma!" to me. It is so fun to watch him, but I find myself in tears some times thinking that he's growing up so fast and one day he will be on a real 4-wheeler or in a car driving away for the first time yelling "bye". :'( but until then, it is sweet watching him riding around the yard waving and yelling "bye, bye". :)

He's so serious about it too, right until he hits the side of the house, or the car, or the sandbox. He's still learning how to turn.

Thought this was too sweet. We were drawing with sidewalk chalk, and he sat on his name. Hehe :)
This is what babygirl likes to do outside while we color with chalk and brother drives his 4 wheeler. She sits and plays, and laughs and her brother. I absolutely LOVE watching the two of them play with each other, make each other laugh, she really thinks her brother hung the moon. Sad thing is, I know it will not last...there will be a day that I will have to pull her off him.
After we play in the yard and get really hot. I turn on the water faucet. Yea, its kinda redneck of me but you have to hear me out. We bought him a pool and Gammy bought him a slip-n-slide...he rather have the faucet! What can I say the kid LOVES water! It is so funny watching him put his face right in the stream of water and splash it around. HAHA! Then he steps back and looks at me takes a deep breath, and does it again! Who needs sprinklers, pools, or slip-n-slides...we here have faucets! *in my redneck voice*
Wet toes! He cannot STAND the grass that sticks to his feet, so he comes to me "ma!" and points to them. I wipe his feet and right back to the wet grass he goes!
He loves playing outside, but he doesn't forget to take a break from the fun and give some loving to his sister! And she "eeeks" in excitement :) so sweet sibling love!
OH, HAHA!! This was pretty funny too. When Savannah is upset and crying, and I am busy fixing a bottle or trying to get to her but am just not fast enough...no worries, brother is here! He tries to make her laugh or he will try to sooth her. He has been known to take her a teddy bear, a rattle, a car, a weeble (little people that weeble but don't fall down, for those who havent heard of weebles Brody LOVES them), or even his cup. If none of those help her feel better, he will put his hat on her. Most of the time this just ticks her off more, but he tries. When he has exhausted all of his resources and he's ready to give up, he will kiss her on the head, yell "ma!" and point to her. I have to reassure him that she will be ok and I am on my way!

AWE, the first FSU game of the season!!! This is one of my good friends baby and he and Sav had such a great time playing and watching the game together...don't they look adorable!?
Daddy and Brody watching the game! Thanks to daddy, every time the TV is on Brody thinks there should be "foootball" on it. He points to the TV and yells "fooootball"...yikes me and Sav are in for it, we are gonna have to have a girl's room of our own!
POOL TIME at Nana's. Brody loves the water, as previously mentioned, Sav on the other hand is learning to like the water.
He loves to be tossed HIGH (kind of scares momma).
And he's learning to swim, he is getting really good at it too.
Take time away from pool fun to love on the dog.
Splashing with daddy!
More pool fun!

I have a few more pics from this past week...still working on editing those. Takes a little longer to get pics ready and posted these days, but stay tuned they are coming as fast as they can! :)

Sew Much Going On

You liked my play on words there didn't ya!? Haha I have been doing a lot of sewing projects lately, thanks to Pinterest and my wonderful sitter. I also have MANY pictures of the fam that I want to post, but I...to be totally honest...have been too lazy to edit them and get them posted. I hope, but do not promise, to get those pictures up some time this weekend. Until then I wanted to share my latest, and greatest, sewing projects.

First I want to start by saying my left over maternity clothes were starting to bother me. I could donate the to Goodwill, or I could refashion them and wear those bad boys. And that is just what I did! Take my first project, it was a maternity tank top, and left over fabric from a different project. I made a ruffled dress. See the tutorials from my previous post!

Before
After :) I LOVED the way it turned out, however it didn't fit me. LONG story about that :/
This shirt was a long sleeve maternity shirt that was plain, no ruffles, no buttons, nothing just black long sleeve. I cut the sleeves off and made ruffles.
I was so proud of the ruffles, they made me smile REAL BIG! :)
Lastly, was the GREEN idea I got from my sitter. Well, she asked if I could do it, of course I could! She found these reusable sandwich bags on Etsy and asked if I knew how to make them. I never saw them but knew that I could def pull it off. The idea is brilliant and I am super stoked to make many more for her and myself! :)

Hope you all had a great short week, TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!!! :)

the headband

Here it is! I was wanting to craft so bad last night I did this little project. Not perfect, but let me tell you that "twisting" she speaks of in the tutorial...not easy for me. Maybe I'm just a perfectionist because I twisted and retwisted that fabric several times. I like it though, not to shabby for a first timer rosette maker! ;)

The good news is I can cut those bad boys off and change them any time I need. Still debating this weekends project...
